SEVEN people have been slapped with bills of more than £300 after they littered cigarette butts.
Hannah McMenamin, 22, of Middleton Road, "threw down, dropped or otherwise deposited litter, namely a cigarette butt", on Salisbury High Street, and left it there on August 12, 2022.
This is contrary to section 87(1) and (5) of the Environmental Protection Act 1990.
She was ordered to pay £383, which included a £220 fine, an £88 surcharge to fund victim services and costs of £75.

Josie Jones, 37, of Hazel Close, was also ordered to pay £383 after littering in High Street on the same day.
Claire Ridout, 45, of Church Lane, dropped a cigarette butt in New Canal on August 2.
Brian Davies, 33, of Rampart Road, littered in Queen Street on August 14.
Lewis Smith, 24, of Dean Road in East Grimstead, also littered in Queen Street on the same day.

Gemma Mottram, 50, of Bournemouth, dropped a cigarette butt on Queen Street on July 26.
Chantelle Wood, 31, of Rampart Road, left a cigarette butt on Milford Street on August 14.
These five people had to pay £463 each after the cases were brought before Portsmouth Magistrates' Court on January 26, 2023.
