A GIRL just 12 years of age has started her own business after excelling at a professional hairdressing course.
Phoebe Finnerty decided at the age of 8 that she wanted to be a hairdresser and her ambition continued to grow.

Her mother contacted the Belle Academy in Finchley, London to see whether they would teach her daughter and this week, Phoebe attended the Certified Hair Extension Specialists course.
Phoebe's mother Samantha said: “She wasn’t nervous at all. She took it all in her stride and got a certificate. She absolutely smashed it. I am so proud of her.
"She does my hair for me and her sisters too. It’s great.”
The two-day course had to be completed in just one day due to age restrictions and Phoebe is the youngest person to ever do the course.

Her family bought her a horse box which could be converted into a salon so that she could do people's hair at weekends.
Samantha said: “She wants to do a course on mesh hair next to help those suffering from alopecia."
Phoebe has set up a Facebook page to promote her business which is already getting a lot of attention.
