PC Hammond of Wiltshire Police, who caught Walker during speed checks, said: “Being late for work is never an excuse for speeding.
“Always plan ahead and make sure you leave plenty of time for your journey and prepare for unexpected delays.”
Wiltshire Police said speeding is one of the ‘Fatal Five’ behaviours that inhibit drivers’ ability to appropriately operate a vehicle, with the other four being drink/drug driving, driving while using a mobile phone, not wearing a seatbelt and careless or dangerous driving.
