More than 400 variants of snowdrops are on show at a garden in Westcroft.

Galanthrophile Lyn Miles has invited the public into her two-thirds an acre garden to see her impressive floral collection.

Westcroft Garden, in Boscombe Village, is open from 11am-4pm every Thursday until March 9 as well as Saturday 28, Sunday 29, Sunday February 19, Saturday 25 and Sunday 26.

The entrance fee for adults is £4 while children go free and there is home-made soups, tea and cakes on offer.

Lyn, who is president of the Four Villages Horticultural Society, opens her cottage garden either to raise money for Cancer Research UK or for the Wiltshire National Garden Scheme.

She said: "Snowdrops are a sign of spring; they are so beautiful, hardy and everybody loves them.

"I felt they ought to be seen and I want to share them."

Lyn has been opening her garden to the public for over 10 years and said she's "stopped counting" how many variants of snowdrops she has.

Visitors can park at Boscombe & District Social Club and no booking is required.
