Schoolchildren recently got the chance to blast off into space when they visited the Winchester Science Centre.
Pupils from the Wellington Academy had a fun-packed day viewing space through the eyes of an astronaut on a test flight in the planetarium and got to test out a spacesuit.
They learned about sound, hearing and vibration using the largest guitar in Europe.

A spokesperson for the Wellington Academy said: “The pupils were mind blown by the show and all of the exhibits at the centre. It was exhilarating for the pupils to see the science behind the world, as we know it.
"We teach our students to be inquisitive, to ask big questions, to challenge ideas and solve problems and a visit to Winchester Science Centre involves all of those aspects.”
The Winchester Science Centre is a hands-on, interactive, science and technology centre and registered charity. There are interactive exhibits aimed at children aged 5-12 years old.
Wellington School pupils favourited the Planetarium which is a full dome film show that provides an experience of flying through space and learning all about the planets.
