A ROAD in Fordingbridge is closed due to “severe flooding”.
The A338 Salisbury Road is shut at Burgate until further notice due to the flooding.
The closure is in place between Salisbury Road and the junction with the B3078.
Hampshire County Council posted on social media the road would be closed from 9.30pm on Monday, January 9.

Posting on social media, a spokesperson said: “The A338 Salisbury Rd is closed due to flooding, between Salisbury Rd & junction with B3078.
“HGV's permitted, via gatemen, thro' closure, but all other traffic must follow the signed diversion thro' Fordingbridge.”
Before the full closure, the council said on Monday afternoon two-way temporary lights would be in place with drivers urged to avoid the area if possible and divert via Fordingbridge.
Further heavy rain is expected this morning and also from 7pm onwards.
