SANTA made an extended pitstop on Christmas morning to visit care home residents and to give his reindeer a well-deserved rest.
Both staff and residents at Barchester’s Cedars care home in Landford welcomed him and each person had an individually picked present wrapped in a gold box “with love from your Cedars family”.
Olwen, a resident at the care home said: “Oh Father Christmas, thank you so much for coming to see me.”
Santa stayed to talk to residents for several hours before setting off back to Lapland.
General Manager, Sam Humphries said: “Our residents were so pleased to see Father Christmas and loved their presents.”
The care home organised lots of activities for Christmas including a taste of Tudor Christmas and had the Church Choir plus Duke of Edinburgh volunteers and a great nephew and niece playing brass instruments to the residents.
