SALISBURY City Council's planning committee meeting will tonight discuss plans for 19 new houses to create a new retirement estate on land at Petersfinger Farm, Southampton Road.

The application also includes plans to convert an existing dutch barn to form guest accommodation and the estate manager's flat, to erect a clubhouse, a bin store and associated parking and turning areas, as well as install a sewage pumping station and upgrade access track to tarmac surface.

The plans have been in the pipeline since March 2020

The design statement - from November 2019 - says the farm has been run down over many years, and that planning permission has been granted to convert the farm buildings into four single-storey dwellings.

The council will also discuss plans for 63 new homes on land to the northwest of Fugglestone Red and Bemerton Heat.

Persimmon Homes has submitted the application.

Grosvenor House is also on the agenda

Multi-million pound plans have been tabled to transform the former day centre into four townhouses.

It comes after it was put on the market last year.

That came after the building was listed as an Asset of Community Value (ACV), following a petition from a Community Interest Company (CIC) in February 2021.

The site has remained unoccupied and redundant since 2017.

The plans have been submitted by Grosvenor Riverside Ltd. It wants to redevelop the site to provide four new townhouses.

Finally, there is also an application for a pizza van to be situated in Central Car Park.

The Planning and Development Committee meeting takes place this evening (November 21) at 6.30pm in Salisbury Guildhall. The city council do not make the final decision on these plans, but comment represent local people's views.
