THE Shell garage on Wilton Road will be closed until at least March 2023.
The company is doing work on a shop upgrade, including new petrol pumps and transforming it into a little Waitrose store.
It has been closed since early September, with machinery visible from Wilton Road and Cherry Orchard Lane.
A sign on the metal fencing surrounding the station directs people to the nearest Shell garage in Solstice Park, in Amesbury.
When asked by the Journal, a spokesperson for Shell was not able to confirm how much money is being spent on the project.
