Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without a bit of overindulgence.

For 800 years Salisbury’s hospitality businesses have offered a warm, friendly welcome and they are continuing that tradition right the way across the festive season.

The city is full of warm and welcoming hospitality venues, which is just what you need for a fun Christmas night out.

Whether you want a traditional festive party, or something more original, there are plenty of options for evenings with friends and family or workplace celebrations.

Ed Turner, Owner of the Old Ale & Coffee House, said: “Christmas is all about being with friends and family and that often means staying local. Independent pubs and restaurants are the perfect place to do this as they also support other local businesses as well as employing locals.

Ed added: "They sadly don’t have the power of the national groups so rely heavily on local support and none so more than at Christmas.

"If you can, please do help them by booking your Christmas early so they can make sure they keep the local economy moving in these very difficult times.. and above all let’s make this a bloody great Christmas … we all deserve that!”

Aimee Hancock, Owner at Tinga, added: “We are really excited to be launching our Christmas Party events at Tinga this year, whereby businesses/groups can book a table on select dates to be amongst other groups also enjoying their festive celebrations.

"We’re hoping this gives businesses and teams of all sizes the opportunity to experience a great atmosphere, food and drink right in the heart of the city at an independently owned, local business.”

Salisbury BID (Business Improvement District) is promoting the local hospitality offering throughout the Christmas period.

The BID has run initiatives throughout the year, like Taste Salisbury in September, to showcase the local offering and also highlighting how important it is to use the resources that can be found in the city.

Whether it’s a party or staff gathering, keep spend locally by supporting Salisbury’s cafes, restaurants and bars this Christmas.
