A FORDINGBRIDGE church is going to be opening its doors to serve up free warm lunches to help those struggling with the cost of living crisis.
The Catholic Church of Our Lady of Sorrows and Saint Philip Benizi is launching the initiative from Thursday, November 3.
The lunches are intended to help anyone who is struggling to deal with the energy price rises or the ever rising cost of food or is just lonely and would like a little company.
Those interested in coming along can turn up at the church hall on Salisbury Street at around 11am and are welcome to stay until just after 3pm.
The church hall will serve up tea and coffee with a lunch of soup and bread.
There is no charge and it is open to everyone. The warm lunches will be served every Thursday.
- Communities across Hampshire are being invited to apply to Hampshire County Council for support from the Community Grants Scheme to create a network of warm hubs this winter.
Applications are open for the financial year 2022/23. Those wishing to apply can find more information by visiting: hants.gov.uk/community/grants/grants-list/leaders-community-grants
