A "friendly" man from Salisbury died in his home after not being seen for days, an inquest heard.
Terence John Thornborough, of Pinewood Way, Bemerton Heath, died on March 21, 2022.
The inquest, held on October 17 at Wiltshire and Swindon Coroners Court, heard that Mr Thornborough struggled with his mental health following the suicide of his two brothers, Geoff and Brian.
The 59-year-old worked at the Spar shop in Gainsborough Close.
Neighbour and friend Kelly Pickering described Mr Thornborough as a "friendly person who was always willing to chat" but said the death of his brother had a "big effect" on him.
Police discovered Mr Thornborough in his home after gaining entry through an unlocked door.
Senior coroner David Ridley read a section of a letter left by Mr Thornborough to the inquest that said he intended to take his own life.
Mr Ridley concluded the cause of Mr Thornborough's death as suicide by hanging.
He said: "I offer sincere condolences to his family and friends."
