Patients should only attend Salisbury District Hospital's accident and emergency if they're "experiencing a life threatening condition".
This guidance comes after the hospital announced it is "under intense pressure".
In a tweet, SalisburyNHS encouraged the local community to "help reduce pressure on the hospital" at this time.
Alternatives to A&E proposed by Salisbury District Hospital include the Salisbury Walk-In Health Centre and NHS 111.
Our A&E is currently under intense pressure. We encourage our local community to help reduce pressure on the hospital, and only attend A&E if they are experiencing a life threatening condition.

A statement that followed read: "We ask for your support during this time.
"If you have friends or family waiting to be discharged please try to respond quickly to calls about their ongoing care at home or in another setting."
