Salisbury marked the national moment of reflection outside the Guildhall at 8pm on Sunday in honour of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
Residents joined the Mayor of the City of Salisbury, Cllr Tom Corbin and fellow Salisbury City Councillors for a one minute silence to mourn the passing of the Queen and reflect on her life and legacy ahead of her funeral.
Mayor, Cllr Tom Corbin said: "This is a poignant moment. It was an important opportunity for people to come together and I felt it was important to facilitate that so everyone could have that shared experience of the one minute's silence."
Prior to the moment of reflection Scout groups from Salisbury and South Wiltshire Scouts held their own ceremony to honour the Queen at 7pm where they re-made their promise to the King using the new wording "to do my duty to the King".
