A service of thanksgiving for the life of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II is being held at Salisbury Cathedral.
The service on Sunday, September 18, is taking place at 4.30pm and will be attended by local dignitaries. The Bishop of Salisbury, The Right Revd Stephen Lake will preach at the service.
All are welcome to join the service to celebrate the life of the Queen.
Doors will open at 3.45pm and seats must be taken by 4.10pm.
Her Majesty the Queen and King Charles III will be remembered and prayed for at all services and the cathedral will remain open for people to pray and reflect outside service times.
Numbers visiting Salisbury Cathedral since the death of the Queen have been climbing, with more than 2000 people signing the Books of Condolence so far and more expected over the coming days.
The cathedral will return to normal services and visiting hours on Tuesday, September 20.
Residents are also invited to gather for the National Moment of Reflection outside Salisbury Guildhall.
The Mayor of the City of Salisbury, Cllr Tom Corbin will be marking the National Moment of Reflection at 8pm on Sunday.
All are welcome to join him by the steps of Salisbury Guildhall for a one minute silence to mourn Her Majesty The Queen’s passing and reflect on her life and legacy.
