A SOCIAL group that brings people together is looking to boost its leadership team.

Verwood SNAP! (Special Needs and Able Persons) draws in about 80 members from the town and the surrounding area and has been running for nearly 20 years.

Club Leader Neil Williams said: "SNAP! is immensely popular amongst our members, the greeting you receive each week certainly let's you know you're appreciated. We are aware though, that without new blood, the pressures of work, family and simply the fact that none of us are getting any younger, could get too much for our current team of 6. We are therefore looking for committed volunteers to join us to assure the future of our club. It would suit anybody, doing community service as part of a Duke of Edinburgh Award or simply someone willing to turnout on a Wednesday evening, to be sociable and give something back to their community."

SNAP!, which is affiliated to Mencap, meets on Wednesdays from 7pm to 9.15pm at the Verwood Sports and Social Club.
