FIREFIGHTERS were called to reports of a man trapped under a horse near Fordingbridge.
A crew from Fordingbridge attended the incident at Newgrounds in Goundshill, which was reported just before 9am on Tuesday, August 2.
A spokesperson for Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service (HIWFRS) said: "Fordingbridge firefighters were called by ambulance to Newgrounds in Godshill on Tuesday morning where a man was trapped beneath a horse.
"The rider was released from beneath the animal prior to the arrival of HIWFRS, shortly before 9am, crews then provided him with immediate emergency care.
"The casualty was handed over to South Central Ambulance Service paramedics."
Firefighters left the scene at 9.23am and further animal rescue crews from Winchester, Overton and Ringwood were stood down.
