A MAN in his 20s was punched during an attempted robbery in Salisbury.
Wiltshire Police says it happened at around 10.15pm on Friday, July 29 and the man was walking home when he was confronted by three men and a woman on the bridge in St Nicholas Road.
The victim was asked for money and then punched to the face while one of the other men attempted to pull his bag from him.
He managed to escape and ran to the Rose and Crown pub to call for help.
Officers investigating the incident have released descriptions of three suspects:
- A man in his 30s with a bald head, wearing shorts and a long sleeved top
- A man aged in his 20s, approximately 5 ft 7, of slim build, wearing a black cap
- A man in his mid 20s, of medium build and bare chested
A statement issued by Wiltshire Police said: "Enquiries are currently ongoing and we would urge any witnesses to the incident to get in touch."
