PART of the A36 running through Salisbury was closed earlier today, August 3, due to an "ongoing incident".
UPDATE (11am): The road has now reopened.
UPDATE (10am): Police confirmed there was a "suspicious item" at Salisbury Law Courts.

A spokesperson previously said: "Specially trained personnel are at the scene and a cordon is in place.
"We are asking members of the public to avoid the area.
"Please be aware that the Law Courts are currently closed."
Earlier today police warned that Wilton Road and the surrounding area is closed off, and motorists should use alternative routes.
A police spokesperson had said: "Please be aware that Wilton Road in Salisbury and the surrounding area has been closed due to an ongoing incident.
"Seek alternative routes to avoid delays.
"We will update when the road has reopened."
