THE body of a woman found in the River Avon has been identified as that of 60-year-old Pamela Ellen Bowers from Fordingbridge.
Mrs Bowers, of Picket Close, was found by a fisherman at Bickton Mill at about 10.30am on Friday.
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death, although it is not currently being treated as suspicious.
An inquest into the death was opened and adjourned this afternoon.
