Suliamon Olyfemi was sentenced to death in 2004 in connection with the killing of a Saudi Arabian policeman.
The Nigerian national has maintained his innocence.
In September 2002, a group of men reportedly arrived in an area where many African nationals in Saudi Arabia worked as car cleaners.
A fight broke out and the policeman was killed. Suliamon Olyfemi and twelve others were arrested.
They had no legal representation and were tried in Arabic, a language they did not speak.
The twelve men arrested with Suliamon Olyfemi were sentenced to prison terms.
