MOTORISTS faced major delays travelling towards the New Forest and Bournemouth this morning after a crash forced the closure of two main roads.
Two lorries were involved in the accident which happened near the start of the A31 westbound.
A total of 22 firefighters attended the scene shortly after 5.30am and released a man from the wreckage who was taken to Southampton General Hospital.
Police closed the M27 at junction one at Cadnam and part of the A31 while the wreckage was cleared.
All of the diversions were lifted shortly before 7am.
