EASTENDERS actress Emma Barton opened a new holiday home in St Leonards for families with a sick child.
Hannah's Holiday Home, created in memory of ten year old Hannah Westbrook who died of Hodgkins disease in 2004,is a six berth chalet based at Oakdene Forest Park.
The home cost around £45,000 and more fund raising is needed to keep it going.
Hannah's mum Pam said: "It is just for a family to have a break and out a smile on someone's face when they have been through so much."
They chose Oakdene because it was a popular holiday destination for their family and friends.
And the Kemp family from Clacton-on-Sea is the first family to use the facility.
Their daughter Tatum, six, has a rare lung condition.
