FIRE crews were called to a “deliberate fire” at the “height of irresponsibility”.
Verwood crews were called to Ringwood Forest on Friday morning, July 22, to deal with the blaze.
A spokesperson for Verwood Fire Station: “Both Verwood appliances were mobilised to a small deep-seated fire in Ringwood Forest this morning.
“This was a deliberate camp fire which, under the current dry conditions, is the height of irresponsibility.
“If any members of the public see a fire in the forest, no matter how small, please contact Fire Control.
“If possible, use the what3words app as this gives the precise location and saves valuable time.
“This is a free app and is widely used by all emergency services so would be a handy app to download anyway.”
