A TALE of soldiers, witches and many nursery rhymes provided great entertainment for the people of Alderholt and beyond in the village's annual pantomime.
This year the Alderholt Musical and Dramatic Society put on the Grand Old Duke of York in the village hall and lively songs and colourful costumes proved to be a hit as well as the traditional fun and humour of a pantomime, complete with Duke, Baron and Wicked Fairy.
Nicola Young played the role of Melody opposite Victoria Clark as Colin, with Jess Henderson in the role of Pye alongside Geoff Sims as Peas.
Children could enjoy seeing nursery rhyme characters brought to life as Jack (Sue Sims) and Jill (Carol Clare), Martha Muffett (Amanda Harris) and Tommy Tucker (Les Sacre) took to the stage.
