Firefighters called to reports of hay lorry fire on A303
FIREFIGHTERS dealt with a fire involving the wheel of a hay lorry.
A fire crew from Wilton was called to reports of a large vehicle fire on the A303 at Longbarrow Roundabout at around 8.20am this morning (Friday, July 22).
A spokesperson for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "A fire crew from Wilton responded to a report of a hay lorry on fire on the A303 at Longbarrow roundabout.
"On arrival they discovered a small fire involving one of the wheels. They cooled the wheel using one hose reel and once it was safe to move the vehicle, the escorted it to a layby with the police."
