A school in Salisbury has been forced to close and sent pupils home after a gas leak in the building this afternoon, July 21.
Parents at Wyndham Park Infants' School were alerted by text message at 1.22pm and told to pick up their children.
The health and safety emergency is ongoing as the school say a gas team is trying to locate the source of the leak.
At 2.42pm today parents were told the school will be shut tomorrow, July 22, due to "the need to repair a gas leak a loss of services to the building".
Children were told to leave bags and coats behind and parents can pick them up on tables and benches tomorrow.
Wyndham Park Infants' School is part of the Somerset Road Education Trust, which also includes Exeter House Special School and St Mark’s CE Junior School.
Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue were not alerted about the incident.
Exeter House, where the education trust is based has been contacted for comment.
