TODAY, July 19, is the third and final day of 'extreme heat' for Salisbury, marked by the Met Office amber weather warning.
With highs of 33 degrees, there will be a mixture of sunshine, clouds and rain throughout the day.
There will be a 60 per cent chance of rain at around 5pm, the weather experts predict.
The amber alert, in place since Sunday, comes with a warning that extreme weather conditions could lead to “widespread impacts on people and infrastructure”.
The UK experienced its warmest night on record last night, as the extreme heat saw temperatures remaining in the mid-20s.
With red weather alerts elsewhere in the country, a possible high of 41 degrees will make England hotter than Jamaica, the Maldives and Barbados – with rail users warned of delays, cancellations and changes to train services.
