TWO major pub and hotel sites have "closed until further notice".

Today, July 15, The Cathedral Hotel in the city centre and The Old Mill, Harnham, have had signs put in the windows announcing the closures.

The signs read: "Sincere apologies, but this pub will be closed until further notice.

"No cash or stock has been left on site.

"Staff will remain in accommodation during closure period."

Tommy Roberts, who manages both sites, has asked not to comment at this stage, saying he "doesn't know" the reason for the closures.
