A BY-ELECTION is being held today, July 14, to decide a third and final councillor for Salisbury City Council's West Harnham ward.
Former city councillor Paul Cunningham, a Conservative, stood down earlier this year, which led to the empty seat.
His fellow ward councillor Brian Dalton (Lib Dem) said this was due to “work pressure”.
West Harnham residents can now vote for a new councillor to accompany current councillors for the area, Cllr Dalton and Cllr Annie Riddle (Ind).
Those running are Eleanor Elisabeth Wills (Con), Ted Last (Lib Dem), Sarah Prinsloo (Green) and Anita Goddard (Lab).
Those eligible to vote can do so until 10pm. Emergency proxy votes must be in by 5pm.
Polling stations are Harnham Free Church and Harnham Parish Hall.
