A man in his 80s has been airlifted to hospital with serious injuries.
Emergency services are currently at the scene of a collision in the city centre.
Wiltshire Police says the collision involves a pedestrian who appears to have been struck by a van in Milford Street.

Closures are in place from the Huntsman Tavern on Gigant Street to the junction with Milford Street and drivers are urged to avoid the area.
A Wiltshire Police spokesperson said: "We are currently attending the scene of a road traffic collision in Salisbury City Centre involving a pedestrian who appears to have been struck by a van in Milford Street.
"A man in his 80s is being taken to hospital via air ambulance to be treated for serious injuries.
"Closures are in place from the Huntsman Tavern on Gigant Street to the junction with Milford Street.
"Drivers are advised to avoid the area if possible to avoid delays."
Any witnesses or those with dash cam footage are asked to call 101 quoting log 179 of today (10/07).
