No trains will be running at Salisbury station on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday next week.

Network Rail and the RMT union (National Union of Rail, Maritime and Transport Workers) are taking part in a planned national strike.

The strike action is a dispute over pay and terms and conditions.

Customers are being urged to only travel by rail if absolutely necessary and significant parts of the network will be closed.

SWR services will be affected between Tuesday (June 21) and Sunday (June 26) next week.

GWR services will be affected between Tuesday (June 21) and Saturday (June 25).

Both Great Western Railway (GWR) and South Western Railway (SWR) will be running no trains in Salisbury on the strike days (June 21, 23, and 25).

On Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday (June 22, 24, and 26), disruption is also expected.

The SWR network will start later, at 7.30am, and a Sunday level of service will operate on the non-strike days (Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday).  

The GWR trains will start running at 7am on Wednesday and Friday, but will only run one train per hour on these days.

Customers are urged to check the websites for up-to-date information, and for information on refunds.
