Amesbury’s newest bar has opened but it’s not where you might expect.

Following the reopening of the Wyndham Hall, a new bar has been built in a space previously occupied by a meeting room.

The bar is operated by Sims Hospitality who traditionally focus on mobile bars.

Mark Verbinnen, who runs the hall, feels it will be a “great benefit”. He said: “We’ve asked Sims to put a bar in our community hall because it will allow us to cater for birthdays, wakes, anniversaries, and weddings.

“We’re really pleased to be working with Sims Hospitality”.

Wyndham Hall’s newest addition is the first permanent bar Sims Hospitality have run.

Susie Kuczera, director at Sims Hospitality, said: “We recognise Wyndham Hall as one of the areas best equipped and most well-presented halls for hire, so to invest in it seemed like a great opportunity to us.

“We hope this first permanent bar may be one of many in the future”.

In January the Wyndham Hall was bought by a husband and wife to preserve its role as a community centre.
