A body has been found in the river in Salisbury.
Police were called out just before 4.30pm today (Friday February 25) to a report of a body in the River Avon behind Waitrose.
UPDATE: Circumstances behind death 'not suspicious' police say
A police spokesperson said: "Officers attended the scene and confirmed the person was deceased.
"Our enquiries are at a very early stage and officers are working to establish the circumstances surrounding the death."
