Parts of the A303 and the M4 are currently blocked by fallen trees as very strong winds bring chaos across the county.

A red weather warning, the highest alert issued by the Met Office, is in place for parts of south Wiltshire and Hampshire as storm Eunice sweeps across the UK.

It means there is a significant danger to life due to flying debris, roofs blown off and power lines brought down by gusts of up to 90mph.

Wiltshire Council is warning motorists to avoid travelling for the duration of the red alert, which is in place until 3pm.
