The Covid case rate in nearly all Wiltshire areas is higher than the UK average, with five Salisbury areas recording the worst rates in the county.

The Wiltshire case rate for the seven days leading up to February 3 is at 1059.4 per 100,000 people , according to the UK Coronavirus Dashboard.

This is much higher than the UK average of 864.1 cases per 100,000 people for this period. 

There were 5340 Covid cases recorded in Wiltshire for the latest seven day period, which is a decrease of 10.6% from the previous period.

The five areas with the highest Covid case rates were all in Salisbury postcodes, with Salisbury Bishopsdown recording the highest Covid rate at 1754.9 cases per 100,000 people for this period. 

Durrington and Bulford recorded the second highest Covid rate at 1729 cases per 100,000 people for this period.

These are both over double the national average Covid rate.

The Covid case rate is a good indicator of how much a particular area has been impacted as it takes into account the number of Covid cases in relation to population size. 

These 10 areas had the highest number of Covid cases per 100,000 people in Wiltshire (figure included in brackets).
