A MAN missing in east Dorset has "returned home safely", police have confirmed.
An appeal was launched to locate Derek Rainchild.
Dorset Police received a report at 12.36pm on Sunday February 6 raising concerns for Derek’s welfare.
A police spokesperson said: "Following searches and enquiries by officers, it has now been confirmed that he has returned home safely.
"We would like to thank everyone who shared our appeal."
