FROM today (Monday January 31), visitor restrictions are being eased at Salisbury District Hospital.

Patients will be able to have one person visiting for one hour.

Visitors must call ahead to book a time and show proof of a negative Lateral Flow Test on arrival. Face masks must also be worn at all times and social distancing and hand hygiene must be adhered to.

For those visiting end of life, maternity or children's wards visitors are asked to discuss arrangements with the ward team.

Chief Nursing Officer Judy Dyos said: “With infection rates lowering in the community, I’m pleased we are now in a position to be able to ease some of the visitor restrictions we have in place. I understand how difficult it has been for people not to be able to see their loved ones and I would like to thank everyone for their support and patience.

"Please continue to follow the rules in place to protect our patients and staff”.

Check the hospital’s website for the latest information on visitor restrictions.
