It also warns of a "small chance" of power cuts and an affect on mobile phone coverage.
On Saturday morning, the temperature may feel as low as -5°C in the area around Salisbury and Andover.
In the forecast for the South West, a minimum temperature of 1°C is expected tonight (Friday, November 26), and there will be a "frosty start" to Sunday.
High winds have been forecast for most of the UK tomorrow, including Salisbury, with the service warning that this that may cause some travel disruption and damage.
Injuries and danger to life from "flying debris" are possible.
The Meteorological Office also says the weather could result in damage to trees and temporary structures and buildings such as tiles blown from roofs, some bridges and roads may close, and power cuts may occur.
Road, rail, air and ferry services may be affected, with longer journey times and cancellations possible.
