Engineers working to reopen the railway line at Salisbury after last month's train crash have shared a video of the repair works.

Network Rail has been working to fix the tracks near Fisherton Tunnel where two trains crashed and derailed at the end of last month.

Works are due to be completed by Monday November 15, ready for services to resume on Tuesday.

A video of the repairs, showing exactly what kind of works are taking place, has been shared on Twitter.

It shows a tamping machine stabilising the tracks by lifting the rails and compacting the fresh ballast under the sleepers.

Works on the line began at the start of this week after all five carriages were removed from the site near London Road.
