TRAIN carriages are starting to be removed from Fisherton Tunnel in Salisbury - the scene of the double train crash.
After the removal of the first carriage earlier today, November 4, these pictures were taken at the scene, from the London Road viewpoint.
A few major updates today:
British Transport Police said two carriages would be recovered this afternoon, and two more will be taken away tomorrow morning.
Train lines impacted by the crash will be disrupted for longer than previously anticipated, we also heard this morning.
Network Rail says it will have to carry out “heavy refurbishment” on the Salisbury junction where the accident happened, which is "one stop short of a complete replacement".
