These bus services are disrupted after the closure of London Road.

London road is currently closed between St Mark's roundabout to the Barrington Road junction near Salisbury Crematorium as officers investigate the double train crash in Fisherton Tunnel. 

Due to the closure, buses on this route are diverted but London Road Park & Ride can be accessed according to Wiltshire Council.

The road closure is being managed by British Transport Police who, as of writing this, still have not given an indication on when the road will open.  

Disruption to Salisbury Reds' Bus Services

Salisbury Reds confirmed this morning that all routes affected by the London Road closure have been diverted via Saint Marks Avenue, Barrington Road, and then The Crematorium' for both directions.

The PR7 and the 87 services are among those diverted.

Specific services updates as a result of the closure are below:

  • The R2 to Bishopdown may see delays today due to traffic caused by the road closure, a passenger noting that the 18:30 and 18:56 buses did not arrive at Endless Street Stop A yesterday. 
  • School services have all been informed of any alternative arrangements but mostly operating in full 
  • The PR7 and 87 services will operate via a short diversion through Bishopdown estate and on to London Rd (outbound) and back in via Laverstock.
  • UPDATE: Wiltshire Council have said that London Road Park and Ride is open and "functioning normally". 

When will London Road reopen? 

London Road was closed yesterday at around 12.30pm. 

UPDATE: London Road is expected to open next week according to Wiltshire Council.

Salisbury Train Station service disruptions are expected to last until at least November 8, according to South Western Railway.
