A MAN and woman were pronounced dead at the scene of a car crash in Tidworth last night.
Following the crash, four other people, between the ages of 19 and 30, were taken to hospital.
At around 10pm, October 29, police officers were called to Perham Down Road after a Renault Clio struck a tree.
A 19-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman were pronounced dead at the scene.
Following the news Wiltshire Police said: "Their next of kin have been informed and our thoughts are with them at this incredibly difficult time."
Two other men who were in the car, aged 27 and 19, have both been taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
A 29-year-old man has been taken to hospital with serious but not thought to be life threatening injuries and a 20-year-old man has also gone to hospital with minor injuries.
The road will remain closed for several hours today while investigations continues.
The police spokesperson added: "If you have any information regarding the collision, including if you saw the vehicle involved earlier in the evening, please call 101 and quote log number 326 of Friday, October 29."
