A man died yesterday at Salisbury District Hospital after testing positive for COVID-19.
A 90-year-old man with underlying health conditions who was being cared for at Salisbury District Hospital (SDH) tested positive for Covid-19 and died on Monday, October 18.
The total number of patients who have died from Covid at SDH is now 224.
An SDH spokesperson said: "Our thoughts and condolences are with the patient’s family and loved ones at this very difficult and distressing time.
"We would urge everyone to continue to take precautions to minimise the spread of the virus, and to take up the offer of vaccines when they are offered them.”
SHD have confirmed there are currently 16 COVID-19 positive patients being treated at the hospital.
