CASES heard by Salisbury Magistrates' Court:
ALEXANDER PAUL PATTISON, aged 33, of Thoroton Close, Picket Piece, pleaded guilty to driving without due care and attention along Pennings Road in Tidworth on October 13 last year. Pattison was fined £80 and was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £34. His driving record was endorsed with five points.
JONATHAN BRIAN WHEELER, aged 27, of Shrapnel Road, Larkhill, pleaded guilty to driving while exceeding the legal alcohol limit. On March 27 Wheeler was caught driving a Volkswagen Scirocco along Larkhill Road in Durrington with 74 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. He was fined £461 and was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £46 and costs of £85. He was disqualified from driving for 20 months.
GLEN WHINCOP, aged 49, of Winding Way, Salisbury, pleaded guilty to driving more than 30mph along Southampton Road on June 22 last year. Whincop was fined £100 and was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £34. His driving record was endorsed with four points.
NEIL TERRANCE PALMER, aged 56, of Churchill Court, Wilton, pleaded guilty to possessing a four-inch kitchen knife without good reason in a public place. Palmer was fined £120 and was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £95 and costs of £105.
HOLLY MARIE GRIMSHAW, aged 34, of Glendale Road, Durrington, pleaded guilty to driving while exceeding the legal alcohol limit. On September 27 last year Grimshaw was caught driving a Honda at Rollestone Crossroads in Shrewton while over the limit - recorded by the courts as ‘not less than 300 milligrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood’. She was fined £120 and was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £95 and costs of £85. She was disqualified from driving for 42 months. Grimshaw was ordered to have treatment for alcohol dependency and attend activities and appointments as instructed by an officer.
SARAH BARNES, aged 44, of Stalls Road, Andover, pleaded guilty to driving while exceeding the legal alcohol limit. On July 13 Barnes was caught driving a Mitsubishi along Station Road in Tidworth with 48 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. She was also caught unfit to drive, through drink, in Andover on April 19. Barnes was fined £120 and was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £95 and costs of £85. She was ordered to have treatment for alcohol dependency and attend activities and appointments as instructed by an officer. She was also disqualified from driving for 24 months. Her time spent in custody was considered time served for the offence.
