The Journal has received reports of a fuel shortage in the Tesco Extra on Southampton Road.
Earlier this week, a customer reported that the Salisbury petrol station was running out of fuel.
On Tuesday (September 21), the Dorset Echo reported that a "small number" of petrol stations in Dorset has been hit by temporary supply issues.
According to the paper, Tesco said the issue has been caused by "driver absences" and the situation was expected to improve in the next week.
However, the supermarket chain has dismissed claims of a shortage in Salisbury.
A spokesperson for Tesco said that, on background only, they are not aware of any recent issues with fuel at their site in Southampton Road, Salisbury.
