YOU may have noticed a rather unusual visitor in Salisbury today (Saturday August 14).
The inflatable whale, measuring 18 metres, is in the grounds of Salisbury Arts Centre as part of Wiltshire Creative's programme of outdoor events.
Audiences have been having a whale of time learning about the dangers of plastic waste in the oceans and the impact it has on wildlife with the help of some special nautical characters.
Circo Rum Ba Ba is performing its production, The Whale - Plastic Ocean, during the day.
Tickets have sold out but walk up spaces may be available on the day, five minutes before the performance starts, but cannot be guranteed.
The remaining performances take place at 1pm, 1.30pm, 3pm and 3.30pm.
The programme of free summer events which continue next Saturday with Kapow Dance’s Grow at 11am and 2pm in the grounds of Salisbury Arts Centre.
