The city council is seeking your help to work to eradicate food poverty in Salisbury.
Your Salisbury Pantry, a social supermarket at 59 Catherine Street, is appealing for donations.
The project is a membership scheme for residents in the city on benefits or on a low income.
Members pay just £5 for their shop each week and can take home between £20 and £30 of store cupboard and fresh foods.
Organised by the council's Communities Team, it uses redistributed foods that would otherwise go to waste through donations from Fareshare and many local supermarkets.
The project was started in the city in April as part of a Church Action On Poverty franchise called 'My Local Pantry'.
Cllr Caroline Corbin, Mayor of Salisbury and Cllr Tom Corbin, Deputy Mayor, became part of the project's team of volunteers last week to find out more.
Mayor of Salisbury, Cllr Caroline Corbin said: "Its's more than a shop, it's a place where connections are made on a personal level.
"This is important for helping to balance budgets but also for people's mental health, which I am incredibly passionate about."
The council's Communities Manager Sarah Gregson said: "We wish that this project wasn't needed in Salisbury, but it is.
"We don't want to celebrate our existence but we do want to ensure we can stay open for the people who needs us, for as long as they do.
"As our project grows, so do the costs and, while we have set the shop up without looking for any donations from private citizens, now is the time to ask, could you be our friend?"
Donations will help fill gaps in their stock of essential items, cover volunteers' expenses and keep the fridges and freezers running
