THE Salisbury Museum marked the return of its Festival of Archaeology.
The two-day event, which is in its sixth year, took place over the weekend (July 24 and 25).
Visitors were able to listen to a series of talks from speakers including Dr Phil Harding and archaeologist Alex Langlands who is known for BBC’s Victorian Farm and has a keen interest in the history of Old Sarum, and historic musician Sophie Matthews.
There were also displays from Albion Falconry, bronze-casting and textile making as well as hands-on activities including archery.
The festival was due to take place last year but had to be cancelled due to Covid-19.
On August 7, the museum will be welcoming Dame Zandra Rhodes to launch its new fashion gallery.
