CASES heard by Salisbury and Swindon Magistrates' law courts:

SEBASTIAN RUSSELL, aged 23, of North Road East, Plymouth, pleaded guilty to driving through Tisbury while exceeding the legal alcohol limit. On December 31 last year Russell was driving a BMW along Weaveland Road with 102 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. He was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £95 and costs of £85, and must carry out 40 hours of unpaid work. He was disqualified from holding a driving licence for 26 months.

ROY TREBILCOCK, aged 53, of South Bank, Netherhampton, Salisbury, was found guilty of failing to provide police with information relating to the identification of the driver who was allegedly guilty of an offence. This incident took place in Greater Manchester on January 8, 2019. Trebilcock was fined £120 and was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £30 and costs of £100. His driving record was endorsed with six points.

FAITH BALDWIN, aged 43, of Lapham Vale in St Peter’s Place, Salisbury, pleaded guilty to being the parent of a child that was registered at a primary school but was not attending regularly. Baldwin was fined £108 and was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £32 and costs of £180.

ALLAN MCDONALD, aged 39, of Maryat Way, Whiteley, pleaded guilty to driving in Salisbury without due care and attention. The incident took place on November 16, 2019, when the defendant was driving a Volkswagen Crafter along the A36. He was fined £500 and was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £50 and costs of £110. He was disqualified from holding a driving licence for seven days.

DAVID WILLIAM FORWARD, aged 41, of East Coker Road, Yeovil, pleaded guilty to driving a BMW along the A303 Chilmark Down, Salisbury, at a speed exceeding 70mph on July 19 last year. Forward was fined £718 and was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £72 and costs of £110. His driving record was endorsed with six points.

KIERAN ALEXANDER MANDER, aged 23, of Vockins Close, Tidworth, pleaded guilty to assaulting a woman by beating in Salisbury on March 20. He also damaged a mobile phone belonging to the victim. Mander indicated a plea of guilty to contacting the victim and attending an address, despite a restraining order in force, also on March 20. Between March 13 and 14 Mander sent a message that was “grossly offensive or of an indecent, obscene or menacing character”. Mander was committed to prison for 20 weeks suspended for 24 months. He must attend activities and appointments as instructed by an officer and a varied restraining order was issued. He was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £122. His time spent in custody was considered time served for the offence.

JAMES ROBERT STOCKS-REID, aged 24, of Wordsworth Road, Salisbury, pleaded guilty to driving a peugeot 206 without due care and attention along Churchill Way West in Salisbury on October 30, 2019. He did not have the appropriate policy of insurance to use this vehicle. Stocks-Reid was fined £530 and was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £53 and costs of £110. His driving record was endorsed with six points.

CASPAR RUANE, aged 23, of Winchester Street, London, pleaded guilty to driving a Mercedes-Benz along the A303 Woodbine Hill in Salisbury at a speed exceeding 70mph on August 30 last year. He was fined £500 and was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £50 and costs of £110. He was disqualified from holding a driving licence for 21 days.

ABBIE LITTLER, alias Abbie Thomas, aged 28, of no fixed address in Salisbury, pleaded guilty to assaulting another person in Salisbury on March 22. She was fined £40 and was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £95 and costs of £40. She must attend activities and appointments as instructed by an officer.
